Hallowed are StarGate SG1 - 2007-03-18

Don't read this if you're afraid of spoilers.

My favorite show among those who still air has always been StarGate SG1. It's genre isn't just sci-fi, it's Star Trek sci-fi, there's no doubt StarGate has taken a lot of inspiration from Star Trek but it's also introduced a lot of new stuff such as the whole religion thing, explaining old cultures in a way we sci-fi geeks appreciate. That is, explaining it with aliens visiting Earth.

I'm one of those Star Trek TNG fans, I consider it to be the best series with StarGate SG1 on a good second spot, Star Trek has a lot to offer that SG1 hasn't such as moral and philosophy, it's our times fables. But Star Gate has some other qualities which I miss in Star Trek such as development. Take a look at the first season of StarGate and then the last season, it's a huge difference, I mean they got space ships capable of interstellar travel and they're a respected part of our galaxy which they've earned through the series.

Watching the last episode of StarGate "Unending" was kind of magical, I sat in my bed eating a pizza with my friend whom i can't disclose information about since he or she will sue me under "PUL" if I do so. (Kind of paranoid person.) but it was great company since that person is a StarGate geek as well.

And those who are prideful and refuse to bow down, shall be laid low and made into dust.

So was the episode any good? Well... it's hard to say... It was o course a good episode but then again, my all time favorite alien species died :(. mixed feelings I guess.
